Sian & Rob Colquhoun are a Wiltshire-based Americana and roots duo known for their close vocal harmonies, original songwriting and energetic live performances. Drawing on Appalachian old-time music, early bluegrass and folk traditions brought together with a distinctly roots-led approach shaped by their Scots-Irish heritage.

They have quickly established themselves on the UK folk and roots circuit, booked to play stages at Maverick Festival, Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, Wimborne Minster Folk Festival, Swanage Folk Festival and King Harvest in 2026.

Expect gorgeous original songs, tightly woven vocal harmonies, fiery flat-picking guitar, hypnotic old-time banjo and a flourish of percussive flat-foot dancing. Their live performances balance rhythmic intensity with stripped-back, song-focused arrangements.

Alongside a growing catalogue of original material, they reinterpret traditional songs with energy and care, creating sets that move between the intimate and the propulsive.

Purbeck Rising finalists in 2025, their debut album will be released in August 2026.

“Fantastic! Gorgeous bluegrass melodies and stunning harmonies with original songs that fit seamlessly alongside those that have been around for many decades” — Swindon Folk Club
